Biography
John Grigg served as the 20th president of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) from 1981 to 1986. He sought the presidency to restore stability, worldwide acknowledgment, and prestige to the Academy. Grigg passed away on August 4, 1996.
Top Priorities
- Recognition and support for all members of the Academy, from sport fliers to competition enthusiasts.
- Serving youth, as they are considered the future of the Academy, including future modelers, manufacturers, designers, and officers.
- Support for a full Nationals event with deeper involvement of Special Interest Groups, opposing separate events due to added cost.
