Biography
Senator Jim Banks, a Republican, was born and raised in Columbia City, Indiana. A U.S. Navy veteran, he earned degrees from Indiana University and Grace College. Banks served in the Indiana State Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives before being elected to the United States Senate in 2024.
