Jessica G. Costello

Jessica G. Costello serves as a Judge for Hillsborough County Court, presiding over county civil cases and domestic violence injunctions, a position to which she was appointed by the Governor of Florida on March 29, 2019. Prior to her appointment, she spent approximately 10 years as an Assistant Statewide Prosecutor with the Florida Attorney General's Office, managing law enforcement teams in organized crime prosecution. She is recognized for being the first African American woman appointed to the Hillsborough County bench in approximately 20 years and was named "Outstanding Jurist of the Year" by the Hillsborough County Bar Association in 2022.
