Biography
Jerry L. Demings, a Democrat, is the fifth and first African American Mayor of Orange County since 2018. He previously served as Sheriff of Orange County (2009-2018) and Chief of the Orlando Police Department (1998-2002). He is running for governor of Florida to make life more affordable and safer for Floridians.
