Biography
Janice D Schakowsky is a Democratic politician who has served as the U.S. Representative for Illinois's 9th congressional district since 1999. Born in Chicago in 1944, she previously served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1991 to 1998. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in 1965.
