Jace Laquerre

Jace Laquerre is on the Vermont Secretary of State's general election candidate list (updated Aug. 27, 2026) as the Republican candidate for Chittenden County State's Attorney on the November 3, 2026 ballot. Jace Laquerre is a software engineer from Milton who was nominated by the Vermont Republican Party to challenge incumbent State's Attorney Sarah George, per VTDigger. As a teenager he served as one of Vermont's delegates to the 2016 Republican National Convention. Laquerre has said he will resign immediately if elected, creating a vacancy for gubernatorial appointment, and does not intend to run a traditional campaign, per VTDigger.
