Biography
J.M. Lozano is the State Representative for Texas House District 43, which includes Bee, Calhoun, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Refugio, and San Patricio Counties. A small business owner, he was raised in Premont, Texas, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts from University of Incarnate Word. Lozano, who changed his party affiliation from Democratic to Republican in 2012, currently chairs the House Committee on Urban Affairs and has been recognized for his work on various issues including jobs training, border security, and student achievement.
