Biography
Iwen Chu is the first Asian American to serve Brooklyn in the New York State Legislature. Born and raised in Taiwan, she came to New York to pursue her American Dream, settling in Dyker Heights with her family and dedicating herself to Southern Brooklyn communities as a public school parent, community journalist, and public servant.
