Biography
Gerald Edward Connolly, a Democrat, has represented Virginia's 11th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2008, currently serving his eighth term. He is a senior member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, chairing the Subcommittee on Government Operations, and also serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. Prior to Congress, Connolly served 14 years on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, including five years as Chairman.
