GABRIEL VASQUEZ

Gabriel Vasquez, born in El Paso, Texas, is the Democratic U.S. Representative for New Mexico's 2nd Congressional District, serving since 2023. A first-generation Mexican-American, he earned a B.A. from New Mexico State University and previously served on the Las Cruces City Council from 2017 to 2021. Before his congressional service, Vasquez worked as a journalist, public relations specialist, and executive director of the Las Cruces Hispano Chamber of Commerce.
