Biography
Felipe Sousa-Lazaballet is a passionate advocate, dedicated community leader, and proven problem solver. Born in Brazil and raised by his single mother, he moved to Florida at 14, later becoming an LGBTQ+ immigrant who walked from Miami to Washington, DC, to advocate for young immigrants. He served under Mayor Buddy Dyer, advised on multicultural communities, and is now an executive director of a nonprofit, bringing valuable leadership experience.
