Elgie R. Sims, Jr. (Democratic Party) is a member of the Illinois State Senate, representing District 17, having assumed office in 2018. An attorney by profession, he earned his B.S. from Illinois State University, M.P.A. from the University of Illinois, and J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
