EARL LEROY CARTER

Earl Leroy Carter, a Republican, is a member of the U.S. House representing Georgia's 1st Congressional District, having assumed office in 2015. Born in Port Wentworth, Georgia, Carter is a pharmacist and former small business owner who previously served as Mayor of Pooler, Georgia, and in both the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia Senate. He is currently seeking election to the U.S. Senate to represent Georgia in the 2026 election cycle.
