Biography
Earl LeRoy Carter, a Republican from Georgia, is an experienced businessman and healthcare professional who owned Carter’s Pharmacy, Inc. for over 32 years. He previously served as Mayor of Pooler, in the Georgia House, and Georgia Senate before representing Georgia's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House from 2015. Carter announced in May 2025 that he would not seek re-election in 2026, instead running for the U.S. Senate nomination.
