Biography
Dr. Barbara Shanklin is a long-serving member of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Council, representing District 2. First elected in 2002, she has been re-elected multiple times and is currently serving her sixth four-year term, which ends in 2029. Dr. Shanklin previously served as Metro Council President in 2005 and holds an Ed.D. from Spalding University.
