Biography
Derek Schmidt is a Republican U.S. Representative for Kansas' 2nd Congressional District, having taken office on January 3, 2025. A fifth-generation Kansan, he previously served as the Kansas Attorney General from 2011 to 2023 and as a Kansas State Senator from 2001 to 2011.
