Biography
Deb Haaland, a Laguna Pueblo member, is a former U.S. Secretary of the Interior and a former U.S. Representative for New Mexico's 1st congressional district. She previously chaired the state Democratic Party and worked as a tribal administrator and organizer. Haaland is now running for Governor of New Mexico, aiming to be the state's first Native American woman elected to the office.
