Biography
David S. Schweikert is an American politician and businessman currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Arizona's 1st congressional district since 2023. A Republican, he previously represented other Arizona districts in the U.S. House and held various state and county offices, including in the Arizona State House of Representatives and as Maricopa County treasurer. Schweikert has announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination in the 2026 Arizona gubernatorial election.
