Biography
Darin McKay LaHood, born and raised in Peoria, serves the constituents of the 16th District of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was first sworn into Congress on September 17, 2015, and won re-election for his fourth full term on November 8, 2022. Prior to his congressional service, LaHood served four years in the Illinois State Senate and spent over nine years as a State and Federal Prosecutor, including as Chief Terrorism Prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice.
