Biography
Dan Ryan was elected to the Portland City Council in 2020, filling a vacant seat, and is currently running for a City Council seat representing District 2. He previously served on the Portland Public School Board from 2005 to 2008 and was the CEO of All Hands Raised, a nonprofit focused on education equity. As a City Commissioner, Ryan spearheaded the Safe Rest Villages initiative, which provides temporary outdoor shelters and services for people experiencing homelessness.
