Biography
Cynthia Lummis, a Republican, is the junior U.S. Senator from Wyoming, having assumed office on January 3, 2021, and becoming the first woman to serve in this role for the state. Born on a cattle ranch, she previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2009 to 2016, as Wyoming State Treasurer for eight years, and for 14 years in the Wyoming State House and Senate. Throughout her career, Senator Lummis has been known as a conservative policymaker focused on advocating for Wyoming's interests.
