Biography
Chip Roy is an American attorney and politician currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 21st congressional district, a position he assumed on January 3, 2019. He is also a candidate for Attorney General of Texas in the 2026 elections. Prior to his congressional service, Roy worked as chief of staff to U.S. Senator Ted Cruz and as first assistant attorney general of Texas.
