Biography
Evans is a lifelong Fayetteville resident who previously served 12 years as an at-large Cumberland County commissioner (2010-2022), including as board chairman in 2021-2022, and four years on the Fayetteville City Council, per his campaign site. As commissioner he championed the county's 'Ban the Box' hiring policy and led expungement clinics for nonviolent convictions.
