Biography
Celina Villanueva, a full-time state legislator, was born in Chicago and raised in Little Village. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Latino/a Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and previously worked as the Civic & Youth Engagement Manager at the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Villanueva currently serves as a State Senator for Illinois' 12th District, having previously served in the Illinois House of Representatives.
