Frazier grew up in a low income neighborhood on Chicago's South Side before moving to Minnesota to attend college, per the campaign site. He worked as a Hennepin County public defender and as legal counsel for Minneapolis Public Schools, and in 2018 he became the first African American elected to the New Hope City Council, per the campaign site.
