Biography
Carol Obando-Derstine is an energy engineer, community advocate, and working mother who immigrated from Colombia at age three. She holds a master's degree from Penn State and has dedicated her career to public service, including working in nonprofits, serving as a regional manager for Senator Bob Casey, and teaching at Northampton Community College. Obando-Derstine is also the product of a union household and has experience in the energy sector.
