Biography
Carina Santa Maria is a mom, advocate, social worker, and longtime public servant, currently serving as CEO of Shelter Youth and Family Services and an elected Village Trustee in Arlington Heights since 2025. A first-generation American, she has dedicated her career to supporting families and youth, including developing Illinois’ first DCFS-approved home for child trafficking survivors.
