Biography
Byron Donalds is a Republican U.S. Representative serving Florida's 19th Congressional District since 2021. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he attended Florida State University where he earned a degree in finance and criminology. Before entering politics, he built a career in banking, finance, and the insurance industry, and served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2016 to 2020. In Congress, Donalds has been a prominent conservative voice on fiscal policy, government spending, and border security. He announced his candidacy for Governor of Florida in 2026.
