Biography
Bill Cassidy is a Republican U.S. Senator for Louisiana, first elected in 2014 and reelected in 2020. A physician by background, he co-founded the Greater Baton Rouge Community Clinic and led health care efforts after Hurricane Katrina. He previously served in the Louisiana State Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, and currently chairs the Senate Health, Education, Labor, & Pensions (HELP) Committee.
