Biography
Beth A. Carrigg, a Republican, has served on the Lexington County Council since 2019, representing District 7. She was unanimously elected Chairwoman of the Council in January 2023 and reelected in January 2024, becoming only the second female to lead the council and the first to do so in consecutive terms. Prior to her council service, Carrigg was the countywide elected Clerk of Court for Lexington County from 2005 to 2017.
