Biography
Bernard Sanders is an Independent politician currently serving as the senior U.S. Senator from Vermont, a seat he has held since 2007. He is the longest-serving independent member of Congress in American history, having previously served 16 years in the U.S. House of Representatives and four terms as Mayor of Burlington.
