Barack D. Obama Shaw, a 56-year-old entrepreneur and Army Reserve veteran, is a Democratic candidate for California governor in 2026. Born Cecil L. Shaw III, he legally changed his name in 2013. He is also a musician who hosts "Alameda's Got Talent" and teaches music.
