Biography
Abigail D. Spanberger is an American politician and former intelligence officer who has served as the 75th Governor of Virginia since 2026, making her the state's first female governor. A Democrat, she previously represented Virginia's 7th congressional district in the U.S. House from 2019 to 2025, following a career as a federal agent with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and a case officer for the Central Intelligence Agency.
