Biography
Aarón Manuel Ortíz is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 1st district, first assuming office on January 9, 2019. A graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, he previously worked as a teacher and college counselor. He has served as a House Majority Caucus Whip and House Chair for the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus.
